Four Towers Weighing 47 Tonnes
Cargo carrier Delpa Shipping has delivered a shipment of wind turbine generators in Greece.
The consignment involved transport of four turbines, each weighing 47 tonnes. The towers measured up to 30 meters in length.
“Delpa's scope of work included pre-carriage of the OOG (out-of-gauge) items to the port of loading, port handling and loading, lashing and securing,” a spokesperson for Delpa said.
Based in Greece, Delpa is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which represents pre-qualified freight forwarding companies in more than 80 countries.
