deugro Ships Wind Units From Dubai to Netherlands (video)

More Than 30 Oversized Components Transported in a Single Voyage

By Simon West

deugro has delivered more than 30 fabricated offshore wind structures with a total volume of 35,000 cubic meters from Dubai to the Netherlands.

The oversized cargo was shipped on the heavy-lift vessel BBC Houston in a single voyage, while self-propelled modular trailers (SPMTs) were deployed for the overland segment.

deugro’s sister company dteq Transport Engineering Solutions (dteq) provided technical support, while Dubai-based port operator DP World managed the congestion at Jebel Ali Port.

“With deugro’s project management and dteq Transport Engineering Solutions technical expertise, the structures were safely secured on the vessel, keeping everything on schedule and on track,” deugro said in a LinkedIn post.
