German Operator To Boost Involvement In Green Energy

deugro has launched a new sustainable energy division to manage its long-term investment and commitment in delivering logistics solutions to support energy transition.
The division will boost the logistics specialist's involvement in renewable energies such as biomass, carbon capture, energy from waste, geothermal, green hydrogen, onshore and offshore wind, solar, wave and tidal.
The company already boasts an “impressive” track record in the sustainable energy supply chain, it said.

“The global energy transition landscape is developing rapidly and in need of the technical skills, specialist assets and the wealth of experience we can provide. With decades of success, global competency, and a future-proof philosophy, we will drive innovation and continue to move the needle in global supply chain and logistics excellence.”
Other companies in the project supply chain have launched similar units.
In May 2021, breakbulk shipping line Wilhelmsen unveiled its New Energy division, part of a restructuring programme to pivot the company away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy.
The new division would oversee planned investments of US$500 million in green energy projects over the next five years.
