New Office Expected To Improve Supply Chain Efficiency Across Quebec Province

DP World is pressing ahead with plans to expand its logistics network in Canada, announcing the launch of a new freight forwarding office in Montreal, its third after Toronto and Vancouver.
The new base in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, provides customers with support — including project freight services — across the retail and industrial sectors, improving supply chain efficiency and expanding bilingual service delivery throughout the province, DP World said.
Additional services at the new site include full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) ocean freight, air freight, domestic trucking, customs clearance and insurance.
“Canada’s growing trade economy requires integrated, resilient logistics networks that can scale with customer demand,” said Doug Smith, CEO of DP World in Canada.
“The launch of our Montreal freight forwarding office and the development of the new Contrecoeur terminal represent our long-term commitment to strengthening Quebec’s role as a key gateway for global commerce. By expanding our logistics network here, we’re creating the infrastructure, technology and partnerships that will drive sustainable growth for decades to come.”
DP World opened its Toronto freight forwarding office in early 2025.
The Dubai-based company also operates five terminals in Canada — Prince Rupert, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Fraser Surrey and Saint John. A sixth terminal in development at Contrecoeur in Montreal — a project that will open up a vital new access point along the St. Lawrence corridor — is slated for start-up by the end of the decade.
