Transformers for Regional Energy Hub
Cargo carrier Egyptian Global Logistics has delivered a shipment of solar power equipment to the BENBAN Solar Park in Egypt.
The cargo included three transformers, each weighing100 tonnes, that were transported from Etay, Wadi Elnatroun and East Assuit simultaneously. The giant solar park in the eastern region of the Sahara Desert, is forecast to produce up to 2 gigawatts of solar power by the end of 2019.
“The site was located about 50 kilometers from Aswan city. It was a quite challenging operation scheme that was performed and completed, despite the difficult conditions,’ a spokesperson for EGL said.
Based in Egypt, EGL is a subsidiary of Kadmar Group and a member of the WCA network.
