EGL Delivers Cairo Transformer
Cargo carrier Egyptian Global Logistics has transported breakbulk components for a power plant from Alexandria to Cairo, Egypt.
The components for the steam thermal plant include a transformer weighing 60 tonnes, which EGL transported from the port of El-Dekhila. The project is ongoing with EGL to deliver three transformers in total, with the heaviest weighing 228 tonnes.
“The site located is 20 kilometers northwest of Cairo in a completely congested area, and there were big challenges to make strong coordinations with all related authorities,” a spokesperson for EGL said.
Based in Egypt, EGL is a subsidiary of Kadmar Group and a member of the XL Projects network.
