Delivery to Alexandria, Egypt
Freight forwarders First Global Logistics and Origin Logistik have collaborated on the delivery of a breakbulk shipment from Turkey to Egypt.
The complex consignment involved multiple out-of-gauge items, including three cases weighing 15 tonnes each. The transported was completed on a door-to-door basis from Istanbul, Turkey to Alexandria, Egypt.
“The bid initially went to Kuehne + Nagel due to a lower price offered. However, the cargo was on hold for too long due to equipment issue, and the client then declined this offer and contacted FGL to assist with the cargo move instead,” a spoksepserson for FGL explained.
First Global Logistics Egypt is a member of the XLP network, which connects transport providers specialized in heavy-lift handling, breakbulk cargo and project logistics in over 80 countries worldwide.
