350 Units from China
Project forwarder Fleet Line Shipping has transported a consignment of 350 steel pipes from China to the UAE.
The breakbulk cargo comprised pipes weighing more than 3 tonnes each and measuring 12 meters long and 1 meter in diameter. The shipment was loaded aboard a breakbulk vessel in China on a part charter basis.
“When the pipes arrived in Jebel Ali, the Fleet Line Projects team was discharging the cargo on 70 trailers and delivering them in three days to Ruwais, Abu Dhabi,” a spokesperson for FLS said.
Headquartered in Dubai, FLS also operates offices in Jebel Ali in the UAE and Basra, Iraq. The firm is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which represents about 200 pre-qualified project forwarders in 114 countries worldwide.
