FLS Moves Pulp and Paper Plant Parts
Heavy-transport firm FLS Projects has delivered a consignment of outsized parts for a pulp and paper production plant project north of Bangkok, Thailand.
The cargo comprised 8,000 cubic meters in total and was shipped by charter vessel from Pori, Finland, to Laem Chabang, Thailand. The largest component handled was a Super Concentrator vessel, weighing 111 tonnes, which was discharged directly from ocean vessel onto barges and transported via the Gulf of Thailand and the Chao Praya river to a jetty in Ayutthaya.
“FLS Projects arranged the transportation from the jetty to the project site by road including offloading the Super Concentrator vessel to the ground,” a spokesperson for FLS said.
Based in Laem Chabang, FLS Projects provides breakbulk handling worldwide and operates offices in Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia and Singapore. The firm is a member of of the XL Projects network.
