GAC Inaugurates Dubai South Facility
Shipping and logistics company GAC has inaugurated its contract logistics facility at Dubai South.
The breakbulk-handling facility cost US$27 million to build and is designed to handle a diverse range of product categories, GAC said. The site also features a 2,400-square-meter value-added services facility, offering additional services for transportation fulfillment.
“The new Dubai South contract logistics facility has been designed to meet a higher standard than what is currently available in the market, from operational efficiency and dynamism through to environmental systems,” said Neil McMaster, GAC Dubai’s general manager for contract logistics.
Dubai-based logistics group, GAC expects to provide project logistics, offshore support, ship agency, husbandry, bunker fuel supplies and dry-docking as well as lay-ups and repairs for rigs and vessels.
