Breakbulk Cargo Shipped Via Derince Safi Port
Freight forwarder Genel Transport has delivered an outsized roof crane from Turket to Cameroon.
The consignment had total gross weight of 554.6 tonnes and measured 5,964 cubic meters over 142 pieces. The cargo was loaded in Ankara, Turkey, and shipped via Derince Safi Port to Douala in Cameroon.
“The team arranged inland trucking on time and all out-of-gauge cargoes were made ready to load at port of Derince according to performing vessels laycan. Special heavy-lift vessel was used to perform sea transport from Derince to Douala Port,” a spokesperson for the Genel said.
Based in Istanbul, Genel offers freight forwarding services worldwide and is a member of the WCA network, which connects freight forwarders and project cargo companies in 188 countries.
