Units Weighing Up to 52 Tonnes Each
Freight specialist Global Projekt Logistique has delivered a cargo of transformers to destinations in Africa.
The consignment comprised 10 main units with an additional 124 wooden boxes and 160 wooden pallets. These included four step-up transformers, weighing 52 tonnes each, and six auxiliary transformers, weighing 10 tonnes each.
“Scope of work included critical and detailed planning [and] comprehensive documentation for timely customs clearance and shipping it out to the final destination,” a spokesperson for GPL said.
Registered in Sri Lanka, Global Projekt Logistique is a representative of the Project Logistics Alliance which connects pre-qualified breakbulk specialists in 88 countries worldwide.
