GPLN Expands In Switzerland


FMS Adds Basel Office

Project cargo association Global Project Logistics Network has expanded its membership in Germany, with the addition of breakbulk specialist Fr. Meyer's Sohn, or FMS.

Ranked as “one of the top 10 sea freight forwarding companies worldwide,” the firm brings expertise in breakbulk projects across a range of projects including: oil and gas, mining, construction and industrial as well as shipments with special requirements, such as emergency logistics in natural disasters and humanitarian aid. The firm operates a project team of six, based in Basel, Switzerland.

“FMS is a family-owned global forwarding company … established in Hamburg, Germany, and providing their customers with transport and logistics solutions since 1897” a spokesperson for GPLN said.

Registered in Bangkok, Thailand, GPLN connects independent project logistics companies specializing in breakbulk shipment on a non-exclusive basis globally.
