Halliburton Strikes New Deals in Middle East

Halliburton has won a brace of new oilfield services contracts from state energy companies in Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

In Iraq, Halliburton was awarded a contract by Basra Oil Company (BOS) to provide integrated field management and construction services for the Bin Umar and Sindbad oil and gas fields in the country’s southern Basra province.

The contract scope includes field development planning, production optimization, digital solutions and engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for the two fields.

The Bin Umar and Sindbad development program aims to increase Iraq’s crude oil production and expand the capture and use of associated gas, helping reduce the country’s reliance on imported gas.

“We will work alongside BOC as a technical and project management provider to integrate workflows, digital solutions and execution expertise to maximize asset value,” said Zaid Khadra, vice president, MENA at Halliburton. “We look forward to collaboration with BOC to advance Iraq’s production, infrastructure and associated gas development objectives.”

Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, Halliburton secured a multi-year contract with Aramco to deliver integrated stimulation and completion services for unconventional gas development in the kingdom.

Halliburton said it would deploy its intelligent automated technology for fracturing to improve efficiency and reliability in the Jafurah Basin while investing in local manufacturing and expanding workforce development in the country.

“This award highlights our long-standing collaboration with Aramco and builds on more than 80 years in the kingdom,” said Rami Yassine, president, Eastern Hemisphere at Halliburton.

Breakbulk Middle East 2027 will take place in Dubai on February 2-3.
