Turbines, Generators Lifted with SBL1100
Breakbulk carrier Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation has delivered two sets of gas turbines and generators to the Takhiatash thermal power plant in Uzbekistan.
The outsized packages included cpmpnents weighing up to 324 tonnes, which were lifted using an Enerpac SBL1100 telescopic hydraulic gantry. Cargo was skidded along a gantry track and lowered onto concrete foundations.
“The SBL1100 gantry gave us the heavy-lifting capability we needed to handle the turbines and generators easily and safely,” said Samet Gürsu, operations director at Hareket.
Registered in Uzbekistan, Hareket is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which connects pre-qualified cargo carriers in 88 countries.
