Haropa Posts Record Volumes
French port system Haropa posted record goods traffic for 2018 with an increase of 2 percent year-on-year to 94.74 million tonnes.
River-borne traffic in Ile-de-France increased 4.5 percent to 22.1 million tonnes, while the port of Le Havre set a record on for trade flows to the hinterland.
“These good results confirm the interest of the Haropa port complex: thanks to their complementarity over a broad spectrum of sectors ... the supply of shipping services is still among the best in Europe and investments in logistics real estate increased on all three ports of the Seine corridor,” a spokesperson for Haropa said.
Comprising the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris, Haropa provides a strategic alliance for ports along the Seine.
