Hermann Paule Moves Göppingen Locomotive

Vintage Engine for Marklineum Museum

Breakbulk firm Hermann Paule has transported a vintage steam locomotive via Göppingen in Southern Germany.

The over-dimensional locomotive dated from 1942 and was bound for the Marklineum Museum at the headquarters of toy manufacturer Marklin. The unit measured 6 meters high and 3 meters wide and weighed 179 tonnes.

“With a maximum of 15 centimeters clearance, access to the company premises was not an easy task, this required Hermann Paule to reverse the loaded vehicle to ensure the locomotive reached her new home late in the evening,” a spokesperson for the firm said.

Based in Stuttgart, Hermann Paule is a member of the Route To Space Alliance, which also includes breakbulk firms Collett Group, Friderici Spécial and WeiLaTransport.
