Intermax Delivers Offshore Towers To Japan
Cargo carrier InterMax has transported two offshore windmill towers from China to Japan.
The over-dimensional towers were composed of two parts with the bottom section measuring 19 meters high and weighing 122.9 tonnes, and the upper section measuring 35 meters and weighing 86.1 tonnes.
These two pieces of cargo were transported from the factory in Nantong by barge and transferred to ocean vessel in Zhangjiagang … After comprehensive comparison of various schemes such as a floating crane, car crane, crawler crane and shore crane, the final choice was two 800-tonne mast cranes in the new heavy loading dock of Zhangjiagang Port,” a spokesperson for InterMax explained.
Based in China, InterMax is a member of the Logistics Alliance, which connects prequalified project freight forwarding specialists worldwide.
