Laso Teams Up with Roll Group in Mozambique


New Partnership Will Offer “Complete Factory to Foundation” Solutions



Heavy-lift specialists Laso Transportes and Roll Group have announced a partnership in the southern African nation of Mozambique.

The agreement between Laso Mozambique and Roll Group aims to provide “lots of solutions for the transport of goods both on land and at sea” and will combine Laso’s fleet of land equipment with Roll Group’s vessels, specialized project equipment and engineering capacity.

“Laso has been present in Mozambique since 2012 and we have constantly expanded our capacity to offer logistics solutions, including transportation and handling of heavy and project cargo,” said Miguel Matos Pinto, managing director of Laso Mozambique.

“We can now offer customers our experience and long presence in Mozambique, together with the capacity of Roll Group to offer complete factory to foundation solutions, even for the biggest modules.”

Harmen Tiddens, director at Roll Group, said the deal would further expand the company’s network of long-term, dedicated partnerships in Africa with leading local players.

“This partnership offers unique value to companies working on projects in Mozambique; we can now provide a total project solution for heavy shipping, transportation and installation solutions,” he said.

“LASO has a solid fleet of transport equipment in country already at yards in Maputo, Pemba and Palma, run by a capable and experienced staff. The Laso and Roll partnership ensures clients seamless interfaces in the supply chain and safe and efficient execution of even the largest projects.”


Portuguese-based Laso and Netherlands-headquartered are regular exhibitors at Breakbulk events. The next event in the calendar is Breakbulk Middle East 2024, taking place on 12-13 February in Dubai.
