Mammoet Adds MTC 15 at Terneuzen
Heavy-lift firm Mammoet has upgraded lifting capacity at its multipurpose terminal at Westdorpe in the Netherlands with the installation of a new MTC 15 crane.
The new crane adds 600 tonne of capacity at 25 meters, giving a load moment capacity equal to a 1,200 tonne crawler crane or a large floating sheerleg. The group expects the upgrade to allow for increased handling of columns, vessels, reels, project cargo and engines at the site near Terneuzen.
“Thanks to the MTC 15’s extremely high capacity and outreach, the Mammoet multipurpose terminal will be ideal for oil and gas, civil construction and energy industry wishing to transfer heavy components,” said Marlon Roels, Mammoet Terminal Manager.
Headquartered in Schiedam in the Netherlands, Mammoet provides a range of services from transportation and logistics planning to heavy lift and crane rental.
