Planned Development for Theodore Industrial Port
Specialist lifting firm Mammoet has partnered with Theodore Industrial Port near Mobile, Alabama, in a boost for the region’s chemical industry.
The firm’s U.S. subsidiary Mammoet USA signed an agreement with Core Industries, the owner and operator of the port to utilize 400 acres of land, positioning the company closer to Mobile’s well-established chemical industry.
“Core’s port facilities will act as a hub for Mammoet’s specialized equipment, while also serving as a secure storage or staging area for freight moving through the port. Several all-terrain cranes and transporters will be stationed at the site to improve flexibility and response times to local projects,” a spokesperson for Mammoet said.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, Mammoet provides a range of heavy-lift services worldwide, handling some of the largest breakbulk components for major construction and energy projects..
