Marinetrans, a Norway-based logistics company specializing in maritime and offshore transport, has secured the project logistics contract from U.S. engineering firm Black & Veatch for two floating liquified natural gas (FLNG) vessel construction projects.
Marinetrans will oversee transportation of critical equipment, large heavy-lift deliveries, supply chain coordination and on-site logistics support. The contracts cover the period from 2025 to 2027.
“We are honored to be selected by Black & Veatch for these large projects,” said Reidar Evensen, group director of projects and offshore at Marinetrans. “Our expertise in complex logistics and focus on operational excellence ensure the timely and efficient construction of these state-of-the-art FLNG vessels.”
Marinetrans said it would use its extensive network and tailored logistics solutions to address the project’s complex demands.
“Ensuring the smooth coordination of logistics for these FLNG vessels require precision, industry expertise and a highly dedicated team,” said Vidar Olsen, project manager at Marinetrans. “We’re excited to contribute.”
