Breakbulk Americas 2020 has been postponed, with a new date to be announced shortly.
March 31, 2020, HOUSTON—Breakbulk Americas 2020 has been postponed, with a new date to be announced shortly. The move stems from the unavoidable delay of Breakbulk Europe due to the global coronavirus pandemic. The only available dates for Breakbulk Europe within a reasonable timeframe coincided with the dates for Breakbulk Americas.
“There were many factors we needed to take into account when reorganizing our Breakbulk events. It was a domino effect where one change has led to another,” Nick Davison, Portfolio Director for Breakbulk and CWEIME events, Hyve Group said. “Our aim was to minimize disruption and make it as easy as possible for our customers, whilst still being able to offer the full suite of Breakbulk events.
“We have worked tirelessly with the venues, exhibitor service contractors, hotels and local governments who support these events, over the last few weeks to coordinate this event. The final details for the new dates for Americas are being worked out and will allow customers who participate in both Breakbulk Europe and Breakbulk Americas to continue to do so.”
Windows for contractor discounts, as well as registration discounts, will be shifted to reflect the new event date for Americas, which will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center as planned. All stand bookings and visitor registrations will be transferred to the new dates.
“The Breakbulk Americas community is no stranger to crisis,” Jamie Reesby, Event Director for Breakbulk Americas said. “As with Hurricane Harvey, I’m confident that we will all pull together and demonstrate our resiliency in the months to come.”
Meanwhile, Breakbulk Events & Media has launched BreakbulkONE, a weekly newsletter and web portal for industry updates around the effects and responses to the crisis. “Breakbulk events have built a reputation for hosting leaders across the industrial supply chain at the event conferences where they share insights and business strategies,” Leslie Meredith, Breakbulk’s marketing and media director said. “Our industry is a unified one and we can find better solutions together than on our own." All industry participants are encouraged to share their news at http://breakbulk.com/page/one.
