Nooteboom Granted LIFTAD Patent

Equipment manufacturer Nooteboom has been granted a patent for a lift adaptor system for its mega windmill transporter.

The LIFTAD-100 was developed for the transport of large tower sections, up to more than 40 meters long, without using a loading floor. Dependent on tower section diameter, the new LIFTAD design can deliver lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes.

“The MWT is an important transport concept within the market of wind energy the LIFTAD is step-less adjustable so that various diameters of tower sections can be transported,” a Nooteboom spokesperson explained.

Abnormal transport solutions provider Nooteboom Trailers is registered in the Netherlands and manufactures a range of breakbulk equipment including the mega windmill transporter and EURO-PX low-loader.
