OIA Global Acquires Cargo Services Inc in the US

Deal Gives Portland-Headquartered Forwarder Direct Presence in Indianapolis

Logistics provider OIA Global has beefed up its forwarding and customs brokerage capabilities in the U.S. Midwest after acquiring Indianapolis-based Cargo Services Inc. (CSI).

Portland-headquartered OIA Global said the deal gives it a direct presence in “one of the most connected logistics cities in the U.S.,” supporting its strategy to build its owned network in key domestic markets.

Founded in 1992, CSI specializes in ocean and air freight, customs brokerage and warehouse services.

“At OIA, service is everything, and what stood out about Cargo Services is that they operate the same way. You can see it in how long their customers have been with them. Connecting that with OIA’s global network is going to create real value for customers on both sides,” said Mabel Rodriguez, managing director for the Americas at OIA Global.

CSI’s management highlighted the shared values of both companies.

“What excites me about OIA Global is that they value what we’ve built — our people, our relationships and our business model. Our customers will still reach the same team they have trusted for years, now with a global network behind them,” said John Rowe, managing director of CSI.

OIA Global will be exhibiting at Breakbulk Europe 2026.
