US Contractor Also Awarded Dock Replacement Work at Longview

Orion Marine, part of Orion Group Holdings, has secured US$67 million in new contracts, including two major projects with Port Tampa Bay in Florida.
The first deal with Tampa Bay is a three-year maintenance dredging contract, set to begin in September 2025.
The second is the Port Redwing Berth 301 Wharf project, which Orion said would meet the growing demand for construction and bulk materials driven by rapid population growth in the Tampa Bay region.
“Our strong delivery and consistent execution have enabled us to successfully expand our client relationships and Port Tampa Bay is a good example,” said Travis Boone, CEO of Orion Group Holdings. “For many years, we have been their longstanding partner for maintenance dredging and new construction projects. We are pleased to play a role in their expansion initiatives aimed at enhancing the port’s capacity and efficiency.”
Additionally, Orion Marine was awarded the Longview Export Dock Replacement project for Weyerhaeuser’s marine terminal at the Port of Longview in Washington state.
The work involves replacing the existing timber Berth A with a new concrete structure supported by large-diameter steel pipe piles. Work is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2025 and is expected to last 12 months.
The awards at Port Tampa Bay and Longview are part of a broader US$100 million contract package for Orion. In addition to the marine projects, Orion Concrete secured US$33 million in new work, including the next phase of a major data center project in Iowa.
Houston-headquartered Orion provides a range of turnkey marine, civil and specialty construction services on, over and under the water, as well as onshore for major industrial and commercial clients throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.
Orion Marine, Port Tampa Bay and the Port of Longview will be exhibiting at Breakbulk Americas on Sep. 30 – Oct. 2 in Houston.
