Logistics companies Platetrade and PTP Group have formed a joint venture to provide breakbulk services in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
PTP Group brings expertise as a port operator, stevedoring company, warehouse-owing company with operations San Nicolas and Villa Constitucion in Argentina, Montevideo and Nueva Palmira in Uruguay and Villeta in Paraguay.
“The JV in Uruguay will be operated by Platetrade, who will bring the staff, knowledge and customers in the project market but can also make use of the established set up in Uruguay operations, financial, account and back office functions,” a spokesperson for Platetrade said.
Both firms are members of the Worldwide Project Consortium, or WWPC, which represents project cargo specialists worldwide with membership limited to one company per country or designated area in larger continents.
