Breakbulk specialist Polaris Shipping Agencies has transported 70 packages of components from a dismantled barge from the UAE to Chile.
The outsized consignment involved units up to 24 meters long and weighing 55 tonnes. It was loaded in Dubai, and shipped to Port Iquique, Chile.
“Polaris team arranged for necessary survey of cargo, lay down area, proposed route, Port facilities and ensured that proper method statement was prepared in co-ordination with all concerned and agreed upon to avoid any misunderstanding at the time of operation,” a spokesperson for Polaris said.
Polaris is headquartered in Dubai and offers breakbulk services throughout the MENA region as well as in CIS States including Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan. The firm is a member of the WCA network which connects freight forwarders and project cargo companies worldwide.
