Three More Heavy Load Vessels To Hit GCC Waters in Coming Months
By Simon West
Prism Logistics has launched its first 250-class barge into service in Abu Dhabi, strengthening its marine transport capabilities across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Built for transporting heavy loads across international sea routes, the vessel marks a significant step in the company’s offshore logistics expansion at a time of rising demand for large-scale cargo solutions.
The barge will support industries including oil and gas, renewables, power and other industrial markets. While primarily intended for operations within GCC waters, it can also be deployed for worldwide missions if needed, the company said.
“The barge sailed from our workshop in India this June, finally arriving in Gulf waters in early August. It is now fully ready to serve the GCC region and beyond,” a spokesperson for Prism Logistics told Breakbulk.
The move is part of Prism Logistics’ broader fleet expansion plan.
The company confirmed that three more barges – a 230-class, 300-class and 330-class – will join the Abu Dhabi fleet in the coming months.
