Transformers and Boom Assembly Shipment
Breakbulk carrier Quality Freight International has handled outsized cargoes in Panama.
Acting as receiving agent for 84 tonnes of transformer units, the firm oversaw transport via the port of Cristobal and discharge form the breakbulk vessel BBC Ontario. From there 128 packages were moved by six-axle truck and 10 flatbeds.
A separate project involed handling a 17-meter boom assembly that was shipped from Manzanillo to Bremerhaven, Germany. Weighing 72 tonnes the unit was delivered on behalf of the Gamboa dredging division of the Panama Canal Authority.
