Take-Over of Trans Integral to Bolster Rhenus’s Position in Balkans
Rhenus has bolstered its position in the Balkans after acquiring Croatia-based logistics provider, Trans Integral.
The take-over, which comes two years after Rhenus acquired Log Adria, a Croatian forwarder, will allow the Germany-headquartered transport specialist to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Trans Integral’s newest office is located.
The deal will give Rhenus and its customers an extended pool of resources and expertise, it said, including Trans Integral’s owned and operated state-of-the-art truck fleet.
“Trans Integral is a well-established Croatian logistics provider that perfectly complements and enhances our existing market presence,” said Patrick Schäffer, CEO of Rhenus Air and Ocean Central-East Europe. “In addition, we are pleased to guarantee the succession plan for the company that offers a stable work environment and exciting career opportunities within our globally operating business to our new employees.”
According to its website, Trans Integral was founded in 2004 and is based in the port town of Ploče. It also has offices in Rijeka, Zagreb in Croatia and Čapljina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company provides container services, inland transport for projects, port operations and customs clearance.
Rhenus Logistics will be exhibiting at Breakbulk Europe 2023, taking place on 6-8 June at Rotterdam Ahoy. Click here to reserve your tickets!
