Robert Reiter Begins CEO Role at DHL

Executive Leads 3,500-Strong Team in US Across 39 Operating Stations

Robert Reiter has begun his new role as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding in the U.S., leading a workforce of more than 3,500 employees across 39 operating stations.

The former DB Schenker executive will be responsible for running all aspects of DHL's operations within the U.S. market, including developing and executing strategies to drive growth, improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards for safety and compliance.

“We are thrilled to welcome Robert Reiter to our team,” said Tim Robertson, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Americas. “He brings to DHL a successful track record of applying new technologies, services, and ideas to improve the logistics chains of customers in the most efficient and sustainable way. His extensive knowledge and expertise within our industry make him an excellent choice for this important leadership position.”

Reiter boasts more than 30 years’ experience in logistics and transport management. He joined DB Schenker in early 2018, serving as CEO for Southeast Asia, then Malaysia and Southeast Asia, and, most recently, CCO for the Asia Pacific region.

The executive has also worked for transport specialists Kuehne+Nagel and Panalpina.

Asked about the “spark” that he brings to the U.S. team, Reiter said on LinkedIn: “I love it when people stand up for their opinion, but also when they know when it’s time to come to a solution and move forward as one team.”

The executive said it was “plain and simple” why he chose DHL: “The people. The distinctive family feel despite our global nature is something special that I'm honored to be a part of.”

DHL Global Forwarding’s Industrial Projects division is sponsoring the main stage at Breakbulk Middle East 2024 on 12-13 February at the Dubai World Trade Center in the UAE.

The company is also exhibiting in the Main Hall at Stand K50.
