Key Loading Ports Include Bremerhaven, Antwerp and Southampton
Roll-on, roll-off (RoRo) specialist Sallaum Lines has launched a new shipping route connecting Europe to the U.S., a “critical element” of the Switzerland-based carrier’s plans to expand its fleet and route diversification.
The service will operate monthly, with key European loading ports in Bremerhaven, Antwerp and Southampton and US discharge ports in Freeport, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Newark.
“The introduction of this new route is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to addressing the evolving needs of our clients, offering more choices, superior convenience, and exceptional services,” said director Sami Sallaum.
Sallaum Lines ships nearly half a million vehicles each year for global OEMs and forwarders.
As part of its plans to have a fully optimized “green” vessel fleet by 2026, the carrier announced in June it had ordered up to six new LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carriers, or PCTCs, with first deliveries slated for early 2026.
The company’s goal is to be fully powered by renewable sources by 2045.
Sallaum Lines is a regular exhibitor at Breakbulk Europe and Breakbulk Americas.
