Shipment from Mumbai to Chittagong
Breakbulk firm Seashell Logistics has transported six induction furnaces from Mumbai to Chittagong in India.
The outsized units weighed 95 tonnes each and measured 6 meters high. They were delivered under ex-works terms from the shipper's door, with extensive route surveys carried out due to over-height of cargo as well as its heavy weight.
“Scope also needed appropriate securing of cargo onto a multi-axle vehicle for safe movement enroute,” a spokesperson for Seashell said.
Based in Navi Mumbai, India, Seashell Logistics is a member of the WCA network, which connects forwarders in 88 countries.
