57 pieces Delivered to Nairobi, Kenya
Project cargo handler Sovereign Logistics has delivered a shipment of components for a cement grinding plant from China to Athi River in Nairobi, Kenya.
The breakbulk consignment included 57 pieces with a gross weight of 200 tonnes. A total of 20 items were out-of-gauge and were shipped from Shanghai, China, via Mombasa in Kenya.
"As a project team, we undertook detailed preparation and planning for this delicate move, adopting global recommended standards for the transport of cement mill parts. The machinery was packed in steel frames to safely and firmly secure the equipment for transport,” said Florence Tuei, country sales and marketing manager at Sovereign Logistics.
