Star Shipping Handles Karachi Hull
Logistics firm Star Shipping has handled a hull and superstructure crane at the port of Karachi, Pakistan.
Movement of the over-dimensional cargoes required preplanning, with the project management team from Star preparing for inter-phase issues between vessel, installation and project during the execution of offshore operations.
“A flat-top barge, Dong Fu 885, from China arrived for the project and was loaded at Karachi with the help of inland water, harbor and coastal services. Star Shipping's operations team successfully completed their offshore semi-submersible project via open sea in Karachi, Pakistan,” a Star spokesperson said.
Star Shipping is a member of industry association the Project Cargo Network, which connects companies focused on heavy-lift handling and transportation worldwide.
