Joins Nordic Project & Finance on Six Vessels
Swire Projects and Nordic Project & Finance have signed an agreement for the long-term charter of six multipurpose heavy-lift vessels.
The charters cover four 12,700-deadweight-tone and two 19,600 dwt multipurpose vessels built between 2007 and 2011. The vessels will be delivered to Swire Projects, the projects division of Swire Shipping Pte. Ltd., from December as they complete their current charters.
“The addition of these MPV vessels is a significant leap forward in our plans and long-term strategy for expanding our projects business,” said Namir Khanbabi, general manager of Swire Projects. “We are looking forward to operating these vessels in the market and developing our service offering to the project sector.”
Swire Projects, established in October 2020, provides specialist shipping services to the energy, renewable and infrastructure sectors. Its fleet and technical experience across the Swire Group’s marine activities projects shipping solutions to the project logistics sector, particularly forwarders, engineering, procurement and construction companies and offshore energy construction customers.
