(Europe) Improved Frequency to Port Moresby
Multipurpose liner company Swire Shipping said it plans to enhance its Southeast Asia (SEA) service, offering new connections to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
The enhanced service will operate on an 11-day frequency using two loops and call Port Moresby as a significant upgrade from a 22-day frequency. The upgrade will improve the interval times between vessels arriving in Lae.
“Customers shipping from Singapore and Malaysia to Motukea Port in Port Moresby on the SEA service can look forward to a transit time of only nine days,” a spokesperson for Swire said.
Swire Shipping is the liner shipping division of The China Navigation Co. and operates a fleet of multipurpose ships specialized in carrying, breakbulk and heavy-lift cargoes around the globe. The firm is an exhibitor at Breakbulk events.
