U-Freight Transports Transmission Reels
Logistics group U-Freight has transported a cargo of outsized electricity power cables from Europe to Chad.
The 16 rolls of transmission cables were loaded in Greece and moved by road to Paris-Vatry airport. U-Freight was then contracted by Dutch transport frim Van der Vlist to arrange shipment to N’Djamena International airport in Chad.
“With time of the essence, and limited cost-effective air charter options available, U-Freight worked with an air charter broker to secure dedicated space on board an Astral Aviation Boeing 747-400 freighter,” a spokesperson for U-Freight said.
Registered in Hong Kong, U-Freight operates subsidiaries in 17 countries throughout Asia, North and employs more than 1,500 direct staff focused on breakbulk logistics.
