Diana Davila Joined Houston Forwarder in 2016 as Director of Projects
UTC Overseas has named Diana Davila as new senior vice president of US operations.
Davila will be responsible for growing and strengthening the operations of all UTC’s offices in the US, the Houston-based forwarder said.
“For over 30 years, Davila has been instrumental in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, working with multinational companies and clients providing operational support and account management,” UTC said in a filing.
According to her LinkedIn profile, the executive joined UTC in July 2016, firstly as director of projects, then Houston branch manager. She also had a 13-year stint at Kuwait-based logistics firm Agility.
Davila is founder of Women in Logistics Leadership, a local Houston group that supports female logistics professionals seeking leadership roles.
UTC said she was a “tireless advocate” for diversity and inclusion.
“I am confident that with Diana’s skills and knowledge, she will drive efficiencies that will enhance UTC’s customer experience,” said Marco Poisler, the company’s COO of global energy and capital projects. “Her 30 years in the industry providing clients and companies with operational support are an asset to UTC.”
