VGT Moves Main Body Transformers
Freight forwarder Vietnam Global Transport has delivered seven transformer units and accessories to power substations in South Vietnam.
The giant units weighed between 139 tonnes and 165 tonnes and were carried by road and water. A team from VGT oversaw roll off, unloading at site, skidding and placement to the main foundation for installation.
“Due to the super heavy cargoes, the convoy could only be executed during the night time. The height of the cargo made it mandatory to lift it up the communication and power cables, as well as the signboards during the route,” a spokesperson for VGT said.
Headquartered in Vietnam, VGT is a member of the XL Projects network and provides logistics services throughout Asia. XLP connects project cargo specialists and independent forwarders in more than 80 countries.
