WLC Delivers SCE Substation Transformers
Cargo forwarder World Logistics Consulting has delivered three transformers from Long Beach Port to Monterey, California.
The breakbulk components weighed 194 tonnes each and arrived in Long Beach from Masan, South Korea. Upon arrival they were loaded from vessel to self-propelled modular transporter and then set on the beam and stand for storage prior to delivery to a SCE substation.
“WLC coordinated the entire work scope including the discharging, storage, trans-loading, the inland transit, as well as offloading onto the foundation via jack and Slide,” a spokesperson for the firm said.
World Logistics Consulting is a member of the WCA network, which connects freight forwarders and project cargo companies worldwide.
